An enterprising Friar Lawrence is offering socially distanced confessions, online. Lady Macbeth and Prospero are both regulars. Even Boris Johnson has been known to pop in.

Unfortunately for the friar, his pharmaceutical business is failing, he’s being stalked by a Juliet's nurse, and he probably shouldn’t have become quite so involved in Romeo’s ridiculous love life.

A hilarious and irreverent re-telling of Shakespeare’s classic love story, Romeo and Juliet; Friar Lawrence’s Confessional will appeal to anyone who loves to see Shakespeare's stories updated and reimagined.

Friar Lawrence’s Confessional was originally presented online by Creation Theatre Company in 2021. It runs at slightly over an hour. The stage production is a three person show, with the actors multi-rolling to bring to life a cast of vloggers, DHL delivery drivers and Shakespearean ne'er-do-wells.
